Aircraft used Between Prudhoe Bay and Fairbanks

Day one:
Departing Fairbanks 8:30 am we will be traveling North on the Steese, Elliott highways, from Livengood we begin the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay. Known locally as the Haul Road. Stops this first day will include:
Day two: Back on the Dalton and continuing through the Dietrich valley. The mountains to your left form the border with Gates of the Arctic National Park. The mountains to your right form the border with Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). We will start our climb over Atigun Pass the highest in Alaska at 4875 feet with Chandalar Shelf. At the Chandalar Valley we will be north of the Alaskan tree line and in open tundra. From Atigun Pass we begin our traveling onto the North Slope of Alaska, from here all waters flow north to the Arctic Ocean. Traverse this vast open Tundra country. This day we will again pass three more Trans Alaska Pipeline Pump Stations.
Day three:
Southbound Departure: This tour is also available as a flight North and ground tour South. It is the same itinerary as above only in reverse order. Northbound departures available on Sunday and Thursday May 20 – September 6; additional Northbound day starting June 13 – Wednesday Southbound departures available on Tuesday and Saturday May 20 – September 6; additional Southbound day starting June 15 - Friday |
